One of Dejan's proudest successes was as Cargojet Airways' Vice President of Operations. With full P&L responsibility, Dejan successfully led the complete planning and transition activities of Purolator and Canada Post's air operations business to Cargojet. In under four years, revenues increased from $190M to $380M while stock performance soared over 400%. This was a natural succession from serving as Purolator's Director of Operations and Executive in charge of leading the Canada Post Group of Companies Air Strategy. With an obligation to ensure that a fair, transparent and comprehensive process was followed while demonstrating collaborative, inclusive and hands-on leadership, a $40 million cost elimination for the Group of Companies was realized. Prior to these roles, Dejan founded and exited an oil and gas startup, led the international expansion of a global aircraft management and MRO business and held progressively senior aerospace engineering roles with Boeing Commercial Aircraft and Bombardier Aerospace.
Dejan holds a Master of Engineering degree in Aerospace from Ryerson University and an MBA in International Business from the Ted Rogers School of Management. He is also a licensed Professional Engineer of Ontario and an active pilot with dual Canada/US flight authority.
